How it works
Our generic palette is original and is not a branded floss catalog. Matching uses Euclidean distance in CIELAB (CIE76), a perceptual improvement over raw RGB distance. Screen and printed colors are only approximations. Compare physical thread samples before buying.
A worked example
A warm orange sample will usually match a terracotta or amber swatch. Similar numeric colors can look different beside a dark outline.
