How it works
This area model applies only when your project uses the same stitch, yarn, hook, tension and blocking as the swatch. Edgings, joining and dense motifs need their own allowance. Use a scale precise enough for the swatch weight.
A worked example
A 15 × 15 cm swatch weighing 12 g implies 640 g for a 100 × 120 cm panel before allowance. Add 15% to plan for about 736 g; round full balls up.
