Cross stitch frame opening calculator
Check whether your stitched design fits a frame or mat opening.
How it works
The visible opening minus the stitched size gives the total visible border. Divide by two for the border on each side when centered. Measure the actual opening inside the mat or frame lip. This is a display-fit check, not a cut-fabric or mounting-allowance calculation.
A worked example
A 100 × 140 chart on 14 count is about 7.14 × 10 inches. A 10 × 13 inch opening leaves about 1.43 inches on each side and 1.5 inches above and below.
